MAKE COMMITMENT

GENERATIONS COMMITMENT

Over the next two years, we will orient every aspect of our church around this vision—to secure a permanent home for ministry, to expand our reach, and to pour our resources into telling the story of Jesus to the coming generations in Paramus and beyond. It will require more faith, more prayer, and more generosity than ever before.

But no sacrifice for Jesus has ever been in vain. So, we invite you to commit yourself fully to what God wants to accomplish through us. Let’s be the generation that makes sure the gospel will still be preached in the heart of Bergen County and beyond.

COMMITMENT CARD
& GIFT CHART

This sample card is meant to be a way to plan how much you will give to the GENERATIONS initiative over the next two years. As you pray about your commitment, use the gift chart below as a helpful discipleship tool. Most of us have a number in our minds as to what we believe we could safely do. But what we are encouraging everyone who participates to do is ask a different question: “What do I believe God can do through my generosity?”

THE ONE FUND

Most campaigns split giving into two funds: one for normal operating expenses and another for “over and above” giving to a building. The problem with this strategy is that money often just shifts around, new givers don’t participate, and when the project ends, giving tends to drop back to what it was before. You raise dollars for a season, but you don’t raise disciples for the long run.

The One Fund is different.

It’s not two buckets — it’s one mission. Every person is invited to take their total giving from last year — whether that was $0 or $100,000—and prayerfully commit to growing it for the next two years. Every dollar given fuels everything: discipling children and students, reaching our community, sending the gospel further, and securing a permanent home for generations to come.

This approach has been proven again and again: it expands the base of givers, increases long-term generosity, and avoids the inevitable “drop-off” of traditional campaigns. More importantly, it disciples a church into biblical generosity that lasts long after the two years are done.

This isn’t about funding a building.
It’s about forming disciples.

“Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.”

2 Timothy 1:8
