THE VISION

A multiplying gospel movement – rooted in Christ, reaching the East Bay, and raising resilient disciples with the next generation.

Primary Goal
100% Participation

We invite our church family to engage in a new season to be Rooted, as we deepen our relationship to Jesus; Renewed, improving the places God has gifted us with to reach our community; and Reaching, partnering with God to see Him impact the East Bay and the nations.

Secondary Goal
$8.5 Million Over 2 Years

Our secondary goal is to raise $8.5M over two years through a unified fund supporting one vision. $5M will fully fund the next two years of ministry at Moraga Valley, and $3.5M will allow us to pursue our goals to be Rooted, Renewed, and Reaching.

Rooted

We will invest $250K by updating our approach to seeing people shaped into the likeness of Jesus in the next two years to run retreats, invest in evangelistic ministries like Alpha, and provide parenting events at no cost to our community.

In addition to our spiritual formation efforts, we are planning to update our coffee and refreshment spaces ($250K) to serve more people in the future. Our prayer is that our community feels welcomed, and they gain a sense of belonging!

$.5M

With over 400 people regularly gathering on our campus for non-Sunday events, we desire to serve our community so that our campus is functional, beautiful, and accessible.

We're hoping to invest in spaces like:

+Our Worship Center - $500K
+Our Fellowship Hall & Fireside Room - $300K
+Nurtury Preschool Playground - $100K
+Campus Safety and Accessibility - $300K
+Additional Campus Improvements - $200K+

All while investing more resources into making sure that our presence in our community is clear and full of hope!

Renewed

Reaching

We believe God has called us into a new season of reaching more people in our community! While we've always been a missions-oriented church, we're hoping to invest over $500,000 in global missions, community outreach, and helping to plant new congregations that reach others in the East Bay that we aren't called to reach.

We're hoping to invest heavily in mental health resources so that multiple generations can be introduced into a flourishing life with Jesus. We hope to do so by investing in over $200,000 in counseling and care related resources to help meet the mental health needs of our community. As our community grows so does our staffing needs and to help provide sustainable housing solutions for MVPC staff, we will be partnering with the MVPC Foundation with $500,000 to help meet future housing needs.

BRANDON DESCRIBES CHURCH VISION

ONE CHURCH. ONE VISION.

One Fund.

You may have been a part of church campaigns in the past during which you were asked to give a second gift "above and beyond your usual gifts." At Moraga Valley we ran this in the past to build our sanctuary or the Family Ministry Center. Instead, over the next two years, we are focusing all of our giving at Moraga Valley into one fund, our Rooted & Reaching fund.

This single fund includes our general operating budget, construction costs to upgrade our sanctuary, hospitality spaces and other facility improvements, additional "rooted" efforts to increase the spiritual formation of our church family, and expanded "reaching" activities to grow our missions efforts to take the gospel to our community and beyond. Our Rooted & Reaching fund allows us to celebrate our unified giving as a unified church towards a unified vision.

The giving season for this initiative will be from

APRIL 19, 2026 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2028

Every gift that is given to Moraga Valley Presbyterian will go toward helping us achieve our vision of making disciples who joyfully surrender to Jesus!
